In last moths I read a lot of news in which was described the story of an old continent near to another economic crisis. I am talking about Europe.The Greek situation is stupid. Greece over the past decades didn't know how to reconvert it's economy due to the new world economic reality. China become a member of WCO in 2001 and twelve more countries joined the European Union between 2004 and 2007, and Greece did not made any significant change in their economic structure or policies.
Greece didn't know how to evolute. Now, the IMF and the EU tell to Greece, Portugal and Spain that they need do become more competitive to export more and reduce their deficits at the same time. But like this countries, Germany France, UK, Italy and US, etc etc etc, need to export more too. So who in the all world will buy our products? Maybe we can sell products across the Solar System, because in Jupiter there aren't chinese factories (yet)!
Europe faces nowadays a stupid race. This is a race for survival. We achieved the highest point of the economic development piramid. We need to remeber again that the resources are finite, and we can't grow forever! To grow again, we need to focus in our biggest strenghts and forget our weaknesses. Europe needs to become an Inovative Economy and needs to lead the new industrial revolution: the energy revolution. We need to change our priorities: forget the renewables or the nuclear option. We need to focus on hydrogen technology, because hydrogen is anywhere and it's more cheaper! Using this new technology which will provide cheaper energy, Europe can create new millions of jobs and can be attractive again for young workers from all over the world. What are we wainting for? It's innovation time!
